**Please note: Seedlings will be 50/50 male/female. Only female trees will reliably produce fruit (there are rare instances of males trees occasionally producing a fruit crop), so plant several seedling trees to ensure fruit production. If you end up with more males than desired, they can be top-worked/grafted to a cultivar of your choosing.

Varieties we offer:

Akiva American Persimmon - Seed collected by Akiva Silver of Twisted Tree Farm from one of the most northern plantings of persimmon in the US located in the Finger Lakes region of New York where temperatures can drop to less than -20F and the growing season is 150 days or less. The healthy and productive 25+ year old mother trees originated from the breeding work of Elwyn Meader at the University of New Hampshire.

Buzz’s Compton Mix - Seed sourced from Buzz Ferver of Perfect Circle Farm. We expect to get nice quality, cold hardy plants from this group of seedlings.

Oikos American Persimmon - Seed selected by Ken Asmus of Oikos Tree Crops for no-spray, early ripening and flavor attributes. Ken’s trees represent one of the most northern plantings of persimmon in the US located in cloudy, short-season southwestern Michigan, and the mother trees have withstood temperatures as low as -27F in 2019. The genetics of these seedlings stem from the cultivars Early Golden, John Rick, Yates, Killen, Beaver, Pipher, and Morris Burton, among others.
